Steve Morley, Former VP Technology, Qualcomm
Steven A. Morley recently retired as the Vice President, Technology, for QUALCOMM Incorporated in the Office of the Chief Scientist. He currently serves as Advisor at Mushroom Networks and as an executive consultant and advisor for a number of small, fast growing high-tech companies, including Staccato Communications, Nextivity, GPSit Technologies, Mushroom Networks, Locomobi, and Vulcan Development Group (Paul Allen's development organization).
He is also currently active in a number programs supporting the high-tech industry in San Diego including being a member of the CommNexus NextStage steering committee and co-chair of both the Digital Media Special Interest Group and the Location-Based Services Special Interest Group sponsored by CommNexus.
Mr. Morley holds an MSEE degree from Stanford University with a specialty in digital signal processing implementations in VLSI architectures and a BSEE degree with summa cum laude honors from the University of California, Irvine. He has received nearly twenty patents in the fields of wireless and satellite communication systems, digital image compression, and digital cinema systems and has published a number of articles in the fields of electronic security, wireless communications, satellite technology, and digital cinema systems.
Dr. Wang Jing, Secretary-General & Senior Advisor, TD-SCDMA Forum
Dr. Wang Jing received his Bachelor Degree in the Mathematics Department of Beijing University from 1980 to1984. He went to the U.S. to study Computer Sciences in the University of Texas (Dallas, TX, USA) from 1992 to 1994 and received his Master's Degree of Computer Science. He also studied in Southern Methodist University from 1989-1993 and was awarded the doctoral degree in Applied Mathematics.
During 1994-2003, Dr. Wang worked in Nortel Networks (Dallas, TX, USA) and held the posts of System Engineering Designer / Manager / Sr.
Manager. His main area of research interest was TDMA / CDMA / GSM /3G capacity and performance engineering, wireless network design and optimization during 2003-2007, he was the Business Alliance Director in Nortel Networks (China) as well as the TD-SCDMA Prime in charge of Business partnership opportunities and negotiations, and 3G marketing.
On Mar. 14th, 2005, the BoD members of the Forum elected Dr. Wang Jing the Secretary General of the TD-SCDMA Forum.
Dr. Gerry Chan, Vice-President, Terrestrial Wireless Systems, Communications Research Centre Canada
Dr. Gerry K. Chan received his B.A.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Queen's University, Kingston, Canada, and his M. Eng. and Ph.D. degrees in Systems and Computer Engineering from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. Since 1998 he has been Vice President, Terrestrial Wireless Systems, at the Communications Research Centre (CRC) in Ottawa. Prior to joining CRC, he held positions as Senior Lecturer at the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore, Director of Long Range Planning, and Director of Terrestrial Engineering in Industry Canada. Dr. Chan has over 30 years' experience in private industry, university, and government. He was international chairman of ITU-R TG 1/6 and is a Senior Member of the IEEE and a member of the Professional Engineers Ontario.
Thomas S. Huseby, Managing Partner, SeaPoint Ventures
In 1997 Tom formed SeaPoint Ventures. Prior to forming SeaPoint Ventures, Tom co-founded and was the first CEO of Metawave Communications Corporation, a manufacturer of cellular infrastructure equipment. Before Metawave, he was the first president and CEO of Innova Corporation. Tom spent the first 17 years of his career at Raychem Corporation where he held a variety of executive positions in Europe, South America and the U.S.
Tom is currently Chairman of the Board of Ontela and Zumobi Inc. and a board member of 6 other wireless companies. He also serves as venture/strategic partner at Investment Oak Investment Partners, Hunt Ventures and Voyager Capital.
Tom has a Bachelor's degree in Economics and a BSIE from Columbia University and an MBA from Stanford University.

Mr. Lacavera is Chairman and CEO of Globalive Communications Corp., an emerging leading provider of next generation telecommunications solutions globally. Lacavera recently led Globalive to become the next major wireless services provider in Canada following the country's wireless spectrum auction. As co-chairman, Lacavera has positioned Globalive Wireless as an innovative and consumer focused mobile company that will provide greater choice and feature rich offerings to Canadians. The Globalive group of companies includes Yak Communications, OneConnect Services, Canopco Hospitality Telecom, and Globalive Carrier Services, and their unique charitable initiative, the SHAMBA foundation.
In 2006, Lacavera was named one of Canada's Top 40 Under 40, recognized for outstanding leadership, achievement and vision. In 2008 he was given the designation of Commendatore in the Order of the Star of Italian Solidarity by the Italian government.
